Without question Dwight landis's series of books on Pennsylvania streams are the most valuable books (whatever the latest edition is) a trout fisherman could buy just starting to learn new areas. Don't really need to say much more than that. I graduated out of them many many years ago but just starting out they were as valuable a resource as I could have ever wished for.
That’s absolutely true. Dwight published three editions of his book and I bought each of them. His books have great stream descriptions and maps. The third edition has Delorme PA Atlas and Gazetteer coordinates for each of the streams.
You can get a lot of information on PA trout streams from the PAF&BC website as well.
