Jigs for trout

Reading that lost about flipping jigs reminded me, I had bought a whole bunch of marabou jigs specifically for trout fishing. I’ve gotten so into spinners that I completely forgot about them though but now I’m dying to try them out. Anyone have any experience with them and how do you fish them? I’m thinking a wild trout stream is ideal water to use them in as they imitate terrestrials. I’ve also read that trout are driven by instinct to eat something that resembles terrestrials even if there is none in their native water.

I used to catch a lot of stocked trout on tube jigs between 1-3” long. I’ve caught some wild trout on them but haven’t found them to be nearly as effective as they are with stocked trout.

There are anglers in this forum who catch trout on Trout Magnets, which I have never used.

I would think a maribou jig would work much like a maribou streamer and should be effective.
