On a lighter topic, could you possibly draw up a more pleasant forecast for the opening day of trout season in PA. Partly sunny with what looks like about an average high of 74 (78 for me here in SE PA) for most of PA. 50+ when you arrive streamside (Except for Rathrbhuntn who will probably be freezing and snowing in Potter lol). This will probably be the best weather opener PA has had in the last decade. I'll be full steam ahead on splitting fire wood for the winter of 19'/20' so I'll be sitting this one out as usual but I hope the rest of you have a real nice day and weekend!
On the western side of the state, there is a possibility of rain moving in before the end of the day. I hope it holds off as I will have my nephew with me. The rain isn't much of a problem for us personally, it is the runoff that muddies up the stream we fish pretty quick as a lot of it flows through pastures up stream.
I support all hunters, regardless of weapon or technique!
This is why I hate the early opener in the southeastern corner of the state. Its always cold and usually cloudy and or raining. Our opener two weekends ago was in the high 30's until the sun came up, then it got into the 40's. I had to break out the old liquid fuel hand warmer...
It definitely looks to be an enjoyable day for the opener. Opening days like these are few and far between. The crowds will be out in full force on Saturday but thats part of the fun of the opener in my opinion. Best of luck to everyone fishing this weekend!
