Salmon Report 10/12

Run is over. Maybe a few stragglers coming in here or there but that's it. Fished up high at Ellis at first light, very few moving through. Crowds were like a weekend however. Hooked maybe seven, landed two. Fish up high are in rough shape as you can see. Did see one slammer steelie caught, a good 15lb'der.
After lunch we fished mid river. No hookups and only spotted a handful of fish laying in some pockets.

Considered going to Oz but it was running at 9,000cfs which pretty much made wading impossible.
Time to start fishing for chrome.

Had a good afternoon. A solid two hours then a slow pick. Lots of chrome around.

Where were you in afternoon? I heard decent amount of trout now in lower river.

Below town. Fished up from yesterday and had trout, coho and kings. I was 2/6 on steelhead. Saw about 20 total.
