The fly fishing only section is pretty far downstream of the Mill near Heinz Camp Road if I recall correctly. If you park at the Mill you can walk downstream a good ways. There is trails on both sides of the creek at least down to the Eckert Bridge. You can also park at Eckert Bridge area and walk up. It's been years since I have fished there, but it gets a pretty good crowd from what I recall so I would try to get there early on opening morning. Might run into some kayak traffic too but they never really bothered me. Beautiful area and section of stream.

According to the internet:

"A delayed-harvest, fly-fishing-only section runs for a short -mile stretch between the Heinz Camp downstream to near the lower end of the park. This section is centered around the Armstrong Bridge."

So, it's only a 1/2 mile section. And the creek runs for many miles.

Come back when things warm up. It's a good smallmouth bass stream.
