They're gonna outlaw corn!!!

How many times have your heard that one? I laugh at the novice clods who repeat it every year. I've been hearing that for decades. It hasn't happened yet......

Corn is the original "Power Bait".....

I wish they would outlaw corn. My wife would make that as part of dinner 7 days a week if she could get away with it. I swear she could live off corn alone.

I would sooner eat power bait than canned corn. If we would ever quit freezing local corn, I would never eat corn again.

We eat frozen too. Hardly eat anything canned at all due to the high sodium content. Still, I would gladly throw all of it in the trout streams just so I don't have to eat it.

Oh I don't know, I actually like creamed corn once in a while. My wife too likes to make corn as a side for dinner an awful lot. Sometimes I eat it, sometimes I don't. But for trout bait there's nothing better, at least for the stockies. Now native trout that's another story.

Cope's corn is really delicious, and creamed corn is ok too, but the other stuff is pretty lame. Frozen's better, fresh the best!! Never use it for trout bait; no idea why. Maybe this year??
