Oh yeah, there was that one...

I wasn't putting too much faith in this mornings outing. My wife is getting over a stomach bug and my son had developed an odd rash last evening, so I couldn't hit a new place that I was planning to fish that I haven't been to yet this year, so it was back to some water I had fished a few times already, but that was close enough in case I needed to leave.

By this time of the year I am usually trying to get some different pictures of fish to share instead of the same ole fish in hand shots. But for whatever reason I wasn't feeling very artistic today, so I didn't take a lot of pictures, which is odd for me. The day started off real slow, only one fish in the first 30 minutes: (Disregard the Captain America Band-aid. I accidentally touched the exhaust on the mower and my 4 year old decided I need a super hero band-aid.)

A little farther upstream I got my surprise native of the trip. They are few and far in between typically in this water.

Then a pretty nice brown smacked the spinner:

A little while later I completed the trifecta with this rainbow:

Picked up 22 total on the morning, not great numbers but they were very nice fish and it was a beautiful day with beautiful scenery

Great pics as usual. Numbers of fish do not matter. What matters is that you got out and enjoyed yourself.

Cute Band-Aid.

That's amazing how you almost forgot to mention that hawg brown. How long was it?

I think the trout are eating well with all of the high water of the last month or so.

I think I recognize that spot where you caught that hawg brown by looking at the last photo. You have to be careful with your photos with guys like me who fish a lot.

Overall nice photos. I enjoyed it.

I measured the rod when I got home, and I estimate he was between 22" and 24", such a beautiful fish!

Great pics as usual, especially like the third one of the brown in the bubbles and last brown speaks for itself.
