Opening Day

Couldn't have asked for a better opening day here in NW PA. It was a little chilly first thing this morning but when the fog burned off it was a truly beautiful day to be in the creek.

I caught 10 total, 9 bows and this nice male brownie.

My father in law caught about the same amount and had quite the excitement when he hooked a 20" sucker that put up a good fight.

Absolute beautiful day to be out there and looking forward to many more...

Re: Opening Day

Opening day is meaningless. You got to get ready for the post-season and your opening day play won't work then.

Congrats Trask!

Re: Opening Day

That's a nice fish but you do realize had Julio Jones been fishing, he would have caught a bigger one.

I don't have ducks. I don't have rows. I have squirrels. And they're drunk.

Re: Opening Day

It's a lovely brownie, but had the fish not hit, things would have turned out much differently. You have to be able to contend with the big, physical steelhead that you'll see in the postseason in the NW part of the state.

We’re not going to apologize for caring. We’re not.

Re: Opening Day

I somehow pictured you as an old curmudgeon. Turns out, you are a young curmudgeon.

Nice fish all the same. When you caught it, did you assume that you wouldn't catch any more and give up for the day?
