Creel Limits

What are the creel limits and seasons for trout from waters that have no trout designation?

That's five of each species, right? I'm totally kidding I know the trout regs by heart lol.

Re: Creel Limits

But this body of water doesn't fit any category as described on the PFBC website.

Re: Creel Limits

What body of water is it? 😶

If you want a copy of the regulations booklet, just ask for one at a Wal-mart store or other store that sells licenses. They gave me a copy, even though I bought the license online.

On page 10 it says: Inland Waters
Trout Daily Limit 5

(...does not include special regulation waters)

So, that's it. The daily limit for trout is 5 anywhere in PA. It doesn't matter if it's a stocked stream or lake or unstocked wild trout stream, it's 5 trout per day, minimum size 7 inches. These are the GENERAL regulations that apply all over PA.

Unless the water has some other SPECIAL regulations, which are the exceptions to the general regs. Those are listed in the booklet.

Re: Creel Limits

I will add that if it isn't considered trout waters you can fish there before the start of the season but no trout can be killed or taken.
