Anglers,
By now many of you have heard or read that the PA Fish and Boat Commission recently proposed changes to all Delayed Harvest Artificial Lures Sections (DHALO). If you go to this link http://fishandboat.com/images/exec/m...minu/01agd.pdf and scroll down to page 7, you will find the proposal.
I know as anglers many of you have a personal opinion on these changes. We hope you will take the time to make your individual comments to the PFBC when the comment period opens. This will be critical in order to make a difference.
The PA Council has discussed the proposed changes and one of our concerns lies with the impact this will have on wild trout populations. Of the 58 DHALO, 19 contain wild trout populations. We feel that some of the proposed rule changes could have a detrimental impact on these populations. We know as chapters and fellow anglers, you or your members have other concerns and issues with this proposal. We have also addressed these concerns in the PATU comment letter that is attached. We have sent our letter to Executive Director Arway in advance of the comment period to get on the record early. We encourage you to voice your concerns as anglers of Pennsylvania. Please use the attached PATU comment letter as a guideline for your comments. We will let everyone know when the comment period is open.

Thanks,
Brian Wagner
Council President

The horizon is your starting point.

Re: The Dumbing Down of Special Regs Waters

Ya the PAFBC is raising a lot a ire over this one. Look.....move up the harvest date fine, but there is no reason for bait. There's plenty of gen reg water with plenty of trout left late in the season.
