Re: Bob Kirschners Lures

I've used the curiosity scent and brought in a few 1st yr bucks, that's about it. Used silvertop during the rut and shot 2 bucks over it.

Re: Bob Kirschners Lures

Met Bob at the bowhunters fest this year working the booth by himself. I use curiosity now till the chase phase starts, then i switch to golden estrous [ which is not his ] for the rest of the season. Another good scent I use all season is Trails End, and have had great results with that!

Camp life,it don't get much better!

Re: Bob Kirschners Lures

I picked up some trailmaker yesterday...going to try it out this evening and tomorrow morning..will let you know how it works...i was told the silvertop is good to use when you know the rut is actually in..told it can be useless and actually push deer away if used to early.

Yep! I use Curiosity early with good results and then Silvertop. Be smart when laying your trail. When I use Silvertop, I start my trail about 100 yards from my stand, making sure the trail is NEVER DOWNWIND of me. I use a drag and I squirt some on each rubber boot.

TIP: Do NOT walk directly to your stand, walk around your stand in the areas you want the deer to go.

I've never seen Silvertop spook deer no matter when I used it, but I have seen MY scent spook them when the wind shifted.

GOBBLE THIS!!!
