what's in your pack??

Was unpacking/packing my totes (1 for my clothes and 1 for backpack boots ect)for washing when I took the backpack out I was amazed at the weight....like what is in there and no wonder the climber is so heavy....now lets see...2 small flashlights, cap light, 2 pair gloves, tree umbrella, multi purpose tool, bow hanger,2 knives, bow rope, range finder, face mask, doe pee, pee bottle (empty of course)and a half bottle of water. Now some of the stuff gets taken out depending on where I am hunting and the weather of course but really no kitchen sink! That said what is in your backpack/fannypack??? What is the necessities?? And the early season for me is like preseason football got to try an figure it out (wish the Steelers would have done that).

live laugh love and hunt hard!

Forest county got to love it!

Re: what's in your pack??

I usually have pretty much the same except I have a little fire starter you get at hone depot or wherever. You never know what will happen and if I'm gonna be stuck in the woods, I'd rather start a huge fire with a fire starter then mess around with some stick n matches. Those fire starters are light and work really good. I hunt in the middle of nowhere so if something would happen to my gps it's tine to start a fire. Cell phones don't work there either so that's out of the question.

Put mine on a scale as I packed it. The empty pack weight 2#, loaded I'm at 8#. If more needs to go in, something needs to come out.

Wishing I was at camp!

Re: what's in your pack??

Scent, licence, scent pads, knife, drag, binos, scent checker, face paint, water or coffee, range finder, cell phone. That's all the time.
But other times ill also have food, grunt and bleat call, shed antlers, flashlight.
It sounds like a lot but when you have it organized between your pack and pockets its realy not. Everything has its purpose at times.
I'd rather have and not need it then need it and not have it.

I just finished packing my fanny so this will be easy!

Binos, rangefinder, grunt call, bleat can, release, arm guard, flashlight, limb saw, lip balm, 2 gear hooks and tree bracket for my quiver.
