Any compact bow cases?

I have a cheapo Plano case and it is really wide and takes up a lot of room in my little S-10 and in my friend's side by side when I hunt Ohio.

Are there any that are reasonably thin/compact? Those guys all use soft cases that don't take up much room but complain their bows still get banged around a little. But if that's my only option it's better than nothing.

Re: Any compact bow cases?

I have a newer plano that is small. I also have one of the older planos that i think your talking about. Its black and you could fit two of today's newer bows in it. Hahaha. Anyhow i bought the newer plano about a year ago at dicks. It was on sale for 30$. It has a weird green camo pattern on it.Definatley a solid case though

Thanks, I'll have to go take a look. I assumed they were all ginormous like this one haha.

Re: Any compact bow cases?

The newer Plano compact cases with PillarLock are nice, solid cases at a reasonable price.

If you want to buy "one and done", SKB!

Re: Any compact bow cases?

Thanks guys. I have been looking at the SKB cases a lot. They look very nice. This Plano "Parallel Limb Bow Case" seems nice too. I wish I could see these in person to compare size. Sometimes reading dimensions online can be deceiving. I'd hate to buy the Plano based on price and then regret it.

Re: Any compact bow cases?

I looked at that Plano case I posted above and it's not really any thinner than the one I have (maybe an inch), so I decided not to get it. I might just get a soft case and be done with it lol.

Re: Any compact bow cases?

I have a GamePlan Gear "Pass-Through" case. I love it. Throw it in the back of the truck. My bow doesn't have a scratch on it.

I looked at hard cases too but I think they take up a lot of unnecessary room for someone traveling by vehicle. For flying I think you need a hard case.

I love the Pass Through because it has lots of pockets for binocs, tuning gear, heads, etc. You just don't have that much space in a hard case.

I will also be able to use my case with my next bow. It's very adjustable and forgiving for size.
