Sumitt viper classic

Just saw it at dicks on sale for 200. Checked online and it ranges from 150 and up. Anyone have this and is it comfortable?

I have one - think you'll find alot of guys on here do too. I haven't heard many complaints about them. Now they've come out with the newer version with the quieter metal.

Re: Sumitt viper classic

I think the classic is made from all steel which makes them very heavy.

Re: Sumitt viper classic

Very heavy but the extra weight makes it absolutly rock solid in the tree.. extremly comfortable for all day sits

Re: Sumitt viper classic

Depends how big a guy you are. It has a 300 lb. weight limit and comes in at 26 lbs.
Now I'm under 200 lbs. and could use a lighter one. One tree stand, I find, doesn't fit all.

I have one and love it... only reason I'm not using it much this year is the spot I want to hunt doesn't have any straight trees.

Re: Sumitt viper classic

not gonna hear to many guys complain about the summits. they are not to expensive, easy to set up, comfortable and are safe to use. you will also see a lot of guys talking up the lone wolf's. I have never had one but from what i hear they are top notch as well. only downfall is they are almost double the price of the summits. good luck

Re: Sumitt viper classic

I bought the newer model and it is easy to set up and a quiet pack in. My only complaint is that is so comfy I fall asleep in it right when the deer want to walk by!

Re: Sumitt viper classic

Save your money, gander mountain has them cheaper than 200...and for 219 on ebay you can get the sd model shipped to your door.. which is what I'm about to do...the classic is about 150 on ebay I think.
