why use something with moving parts that you have no control over, when you could use something without moving parts?

And the broadhead debate goes on and on and on and on forever Just shoot them to see if they fly good for you and use them.

Re: Slick Trick Magnums vs Rage 2 Blade?

Both work well if shot placement is good, and I have used both. The only thing I've noticed is I have had 100% pass thrus with Slicktricks. Rage, I have never had a pass thru. Both leave good blood, and most deer die within 100yds. Slicktricks can also be shot multiple times.Rage is pretty much one and done. I shoot the Slicktricks, but wouldn't feel disadvantaged with a Rage on the end of my arrow.

Re: Slick Trick Magnums vs Rage 2 Blade?

Im someone who has also used both. Like someone else already mentioned, i have never had a pass through with a rage 2 blade. I came close once and had the arrow poke out about 6" through the other side. Im sure its possible, but i have just not had it happen to me. For the most part, rage 2 blade are pretty much one and done if you shoot something with it. On the other hand, i never reuse the slick tricks either. Ive had the steel point on slick tricks bend and not fly right after putting new blades on it so i just use a new one every time. You wont ever have to worry about a slick trick opening up on the end of your arrow or when you take it out of the quiver. You will have that happen to you with rage. Whether or not they will open up in flight and throw the arrow off, i dont know but i wouldnt want to find out. Both will kill a deer just fine if you hit the mark. Price wise slick tricks are a little cheaper. Id go with the slick tricks but i am a little partial because they are what i use now.

I use ST's because of the price much cheaper and more durable.

Your spot I NEVER go back
My spot I expect the same
