Waterproofing Blinds

Any experience with waterproofing of hunting blinds? Products, methods, do & don'ts and coats.

How about the seams of which one can see daylight? Any thoughts with treating the seams with a paraffin bar. We have used them on canvas tents and tarps.

Looking for something that has no U/V, shine, glare, discoloration and does not peel.

I checked out Scotchgard Heavy Duty and Atsko Silicone Water Guard.

The reviews I read on these products range from outstanding to failure. Also I read some places to use silicone then not to use silicone, but to use fluoropolymer????

What????

I just use boot spray from Walmart, Do it when it's warm outside and let it air out for about a week

I do mine with Camp-Dri and use seam sealer on all the seams. I treat just like I do my tents.

I called ameristep and was told use any paint that is is for plastic. Worked good on my doghouse blind. After doing seams and the outside I went inside when sun was out and sprayed any light I saw. Worked vg for mine.
Good luck, Stant

You can get seam sealer at anyplace that sales tents or camping stuff. a couple red cans of Camp- Dri will do a blind.
