Bowtech reign 7

Been shooting a lot of new bows lately, a hoyt, matthews, pse, elite, and a bowtech. All shoot really well, but the pse has some hand shock at the shot, the 60# matthews drew like 70#, but the hoyt, elite, and bowtech were fairly similar. But the bowtech reign 7 was the smoothest, easiest drawing, most vibration free bow iv'e ever shot. I like a longer ata than this bow, only 32 5/8, but aside from that theres nothing i don't like.

Anybody else shoot one? Any thoughts?

bowtech reign

I shot around 15 new bows when I was shopping for a new one. I settled for the Bowtech Reign 6 shooting it at 65 lbs.
30 in. This bow in my opinion was the smoothest draw, solid backwall, dead quiet, super fast with no hand shock. You can make cam adjustment without a press, also can choose or change mods from comfort setting to speed setting by flipping a disc. with just an allen wrench. the Mathews Halon 32 was a close second, but the slender wood grip on the Bowtech Reign made my decision an easy one!

I shot a halon x, I believe it's 35 ata? At 60# it was the by far hardest drawing bow of the ones I shot, and the most expensive. I'm looking for a smooth easy draw more than anything else, so the halon was not one i concidered.

Iv'e had good luck with pse's and I really liked the evolve 35. Smooth draw, fast, quiet, but noticeable hand shock. It's the bow I really wanted going in, but not now.

I do like the easy adjustments on the reign, you can even yoke tune it really easily. My old pse I had to take an e clip and bushing off to yoke tune. And cam timing should be really easy on the bowtech too. But the bottom line is how it feels and shoots and imo the reign felt better than anything else I shot. It wasn't even on my list but the shop that had Hoyt also had bowtech and recommended that I shoot it. Glad I did.

I am a little surprised the Halon X was a little stiff drawing. I shoot indoors with a Halon X and it draws like butter. I think the Halon X is a little heavier than most bows, but it really holds on target well. Now I do shoot it at 53 pounds for indoors. I will be hunting this year with a Chill X set at 60 and it's really smooth, I think the Chill X feels a little better for hunting. Both the Halon X and Chill X are 35 ata. I think the Energy 35 with the V-grip and the PSE evolve 35 are also two very good bows. I have not had the chance to shoot a Reign yet.

The older I get the better I was.

I see bowtech makes a 36 ata called the bt mag, same cams and riser as the reign. Should be even smoother so i'd like to shoot one cus i'd really like a longer ata.

Well nobody close has a bt mag, so i ordered one. Should be here in about 2 weeks, hoping I like it as much as the reign.

It's here!

Only shot it a half dozen times but it seems as smooth as the reign. Glad I waited.

Was going to ask about he Reign 7. Still shooting a diamond Marquis. Absolutely nothing wrong with it. Just like guns and fishing poles just can't have to many.
