Replacing lighted nicks

I have a couple broken luminocks and was going to replace them. They are in Easton Full Metal Jackets. Can I heat up the shafts to melt the glue or will that damage them.

I had to melt the glue before pushing them into the shafts.

Re: Replacing lighted nicks

gluing them was your first mistake...i don't believe you are to use glue under any circumstance.

You want me to put my ear to the ground? Listen for hoof beats? Look for broken twigs?

Re: Replacing lighted nicks

The instructions said to heat up the glue on the insert and slide them in. They are Nockturnal brand

Re: Replacing lighted nicks

I just looked at them again, and I had my arrows mixed up with my son's crossbow bolts, which are glued. I just grabbed the broken nocks with a pair of pliers and the things pulled right out. Thanks guys!!

I see you figured it out, but I was going to say the only ones I've ever seen that used glue was for crossbolts. If you need to replace one in a crossbow use as little heat as possible to get them loose.

A haiku is just like a normal American poem, except it doesnt rhyme and is totally stupid.
