Despite the spelling, you have it right. The gun was purchased at an estate auction near Philadelphia in the 1970's. The family came here from southern Russia about 1915. I have found a few write ups about similar guns. That style was used around the Black Sea from the 1600's to the 1800's. This one has some mother of pearl inlays. It is rifled.
