Traditions Deerhunter question

When cleaning this morning, I removed the barrel from the stock and a small, thin "S" shaped piece of metal with a loop at the end was laying in the bottom of the stock. Where does that piece go when re-assembling?

Re: Traditions Deerhunter question

that goes in the front pin that holds the lock to the stock. it holds your ramrod in place. When replacing it make sure you thread the lock screw back through it with the hooked portion towards the butt end of your stock and the hook facing up. If you get it backwards youll know right away because you'll either not be able to push your ramrod down the entire way or it wont "lock" inside the forend of your gun.

I believe in God, family and fair dealings.
