T/C sighting in question

I have a Renagade .50cal. I shot my first deer with it 26 years ago. I haven't shot it in a few years but took it to the range today. It shot good at 25 yards but seemed to be high at 60 yards. Is this normal? I know my eyes arn't what them used to be. Thanks, Shuey

Re: T/C sighting in question

if it was sighted for 100, it probably would still be climbing at 60.

Re: T/C sighting in question

obviously still climbing. The parallax between the bore and top of the sights may be partially responsible. Right on at thirty with the sights may be still up hill for the bore.

Re: T/C sighting in question

Shoot it at 100 yards and check where it hits. Then try to visualize the arc of the trajectory that all projectiles have.

Re: T/C sighting in question

That is high, but not unheard of. With a moderate load a drop of 6 to 8 inches is not unreasonable to expect at 100 yds.
