Robert Hoyt Re-bored barrels

I have heard nothing but good about Mr. Hoyt. I currently have my Renegade barrel all boxed up to go get bored to .54. Have any of you used his services and how does your gun shoot?

I don't have rebore, but I have one of his barrels in a custom gun that was made for me. I shot a deer at 105 yards with it this past season, if that tells you anything about how it shoots.

I live 30 min. from his shop, so I guess I would be considered a walk in customer, I canít remember how many barrels he has re-bored for me, never had a bad experience, or work I was not satisfied with. Iím getting old wish I could remember, but I think at least six. I buy every cheap priced TC or investarms flintlock that I find in 50cal and have it re-bored to 54cal. Cheap ones donít show up often.

Have two of his barrels, both shoot good, he is a good man, and he does good work.

Had a long rifle re-bored. Excellent work performed.
I am local to Bobby Hoyt as well. Professional gun builder friend uses his services as well.

OK, its in the mail should be there today or Monday. Now just like an expecting father pacing around till I get it back and try it out. Ask Mr. Hoyt to use his knowledge to create the best PRB barrel he can for hunting.
