First thing to check is that the frizzen is flush with the pan surface when closed. If You can see light through it, you can lose powder while walking in the woods. That powder inside the mortice is a bad thing!

It is a somewhat common issue with Kentucky pistol and rifle, Bounty Pistol and PA rifle locks.

I may have run into a small error, but with a little explanation it was corrected.
When you work on kit you can run into thing, but thats why you get things from a company that stands behind there products, and if you call them they will make things right.
And I just ordered another kit from them, because its hard to beat the price.
And yes I still recommend this Pedersoli kit in .54 or .50
So what other question may you have?
