green German jaspis flints

I had to grab a few small thing from Ox-yoke so I had them send me a pack of flints.I always had good luck with black English but wanted to give these a try.If they last like they claim, they'll be my new flint because they spark like crazy.

I am happy with mine but the didn't help me find a deer, ha, ha! They hold up well too. They are expensive but if you figure the service life maybe not so bad.

rugered, have you noticed any change in the face of your frizzen? Is there any indication the sharpness of these add additional wear to the frizzen surface? I think I'll send for a couple. Old dogs can learn new tricks I've heard.

Curious what do they claim as far as them being better than quality Black English??

So, looking at them on their web site, they are $14 for 2. but really that would be for 4 because they are double sided. so 3.50 each. says they last longer than other flints. I think I will stay with the English flints, they have served me well for almost 40 years. but by all means, keep us updated as to what you find and think.
