Day 4

Figured I would start it since I just got out after the rain stopped. Good luck to anyone else that made it out.

Ended up having two come out of thicket this evening and got a shot and no sign of a hit which happened before to me on a kill. As I approached where it stood I could see one run about 50yds away with its tail up which I assumed was watching me walk over.Tried following tacks in leaves but nothing showed any sign.Walked around as much as I could looking for sign of hit and a dead or wounded deer, but nothing.

I,d really give it a good goin over especially cause you only seen one Deer leave. It might be down and the other one was waitin for it to follow it but split when you got to close.I didn,t get out till late and seen a couple Bucks but light was fadin and suspect they were sub-legal.

Shot this doe Monday at around 725 in the rain. Was sitting in a ladder stand with a tree umbrella over me so it wasnt too bad. Came in to 40 yds in a group of 3 with this one being the biggest. Mid shoulder shot out of the Hawken with a PA conical over 70 Swiss 2f. Busted up near shoulder and hit far shoulder but didnt exit. Went about 50 yds and fell over in sight. Did not find projectile while gutting, but didnt look hard as it was downpouring at that time and i was getting wet and cold.
