Out of retirement

My first build in 1988. it needed a lot of trigger work (worn out), lock work (harden frizzen, spring work, ect.) and other misc. things, but it is back up and running and ready to kill another deer. .62 cal./20 ga., 31" barrel, shooting 90 gr 2f, .600 rb, .015 patch. as usual, on the edge of the 2" bullseye at 35 yards with the first shot. The gun always was a shooter, with my longest deer shot at 120 yards back when I had the eyes to do it. it weighs in at just a hair under 5 pounds, very nice for carrying all day.

Good luck to everyone headed out on the 26th and enjoy and cherish this wonderful season we are blessed with!

See that's the kind of smoothbore I really want, a Northwest Trade Gun. Very nice! Good luck to ya!

A bad day hunting rabbits beats a good day of anything else!

The beagle pup I got back then, 1990 I believe, had every rabbit I ever shot with her, was with that gun. she lived to be 14 years old, what a dog! I have hunted and shot everything in PA with that thing except for a bear, not that didn't try, just never got one in front of me. Ducks and geese even with steel shot. It has been a great very versatile gun a joy to hunt with.

Wow, that is the bees knees.

Listen, or your tongue will make you deaf.

"When a pine needle falls in the forest, the eagle sees it, the deer hears it, and the bear smells it."
an old First Nations saying
