A lot can happen in a year

So if you guys remember I made post last year “ flintlock for cheap” I was very “green” to traditional flintlocks. Well 3 guns later and a pistol I can say I am completely engulfed and have completely crossed over into the dark side. I am the proud owner of a brand new Lyman Great Plains rifle I got off a very knowledgeable member here on hpa. I’m not gonna say any names but since getting into traditional flintlocks I found a new passion only second to archery hunting and a good friend. I just want to thank him and if he wants to add anything to this he can but man I got it bad and can not wait to work up a few loads and take it for a walk in a few weeks. I am thankful for the posts and knowledge hpa has here on muzzle loading and the tradition Pennsylvania has.

You're the same dumb pilgrim that I been hearin' for twenty days, and smellin' for three!

I'll be looking forward to reading about your flintlock season experiences. Our, "one-of-a-kind", flintlocks only season is unique in North America, and you will shortly become immersed in all the wonderful aspects which combine to make our late season so special. Best of luck to you, keep your powder dry, and aim small to miss small.

Great Plains rifle huh? That's a good one and you'll like it. Wait till flintlock season and you find you have the woods all to yourself. Your gonna love it even more. Glad to have you along. We need someone that can shoot center, case we have to fight them Blackfeet.

Listen, or your tongue will make you deaf.
