I never really know the timing to suggest such things, but sure.

I hunt in 5C, but I'm all for the rest of the state having as long in flint season as we do. I love hunting deep into January. It's one of the most relaxing times to hunt.

Excellent. Always for more opportunity. Some of my best scouting happens carrying the flintlock.

I think its great also. Depending on what day Christmas fell on sat the pace of how many days, now its guaranteed a nice lengthy season. I enjoy it much.

Curious to see any future fee proposals. ML was going up $5 because of a week (October) added. Will it go up another $5? It would seem odd to raise it because of a week added, and then fail to raise it for another week. Archery should be proposed an increase also ...at least by the same rate. Don't know how they can raise one and not the other given they wanted them both the same price. I guess time will tell.

While I wouldn't be upset to pay more for the flintlock or archery privileges, as I use both heavily, are you saying you're upset that it did NOT get increased? Since I know you compare costs such as these by time available per dollar, this would improve that ratio for muzzleloaders, would it not...?

I'm just saying the next time the BOC proposes a fee hike, it will be interesting. No, the ratio doesn't change because archery is getting an extra week also......correct?

The last proposal had both archery and Ml going up $5 for inflation basically.

Ml was proposed to go up an additional $5 because of the October week being added since the last increase. The BOC placed a price on an additional week when they did that. So now with the flintlock, and the late archery extension, they should both be subject to a $5 increase for that week also.

What will the BOC propose in the next attempt to raise fees? They need to be consistent. We shall see.

Let's leave those antler restrictions folks. Shoot more does. They eat better, and the hides tan a Lot easier Anyhoo..I'm pretty excited about the new opps, also. There is no such thing as an unproductive hunt. No deer days I simply call scouting forays. It takes a split second to kill a deer...a lifetime to get really good at doing it. In the book, Wisdom of the Elders, pg. 121, The Wintu tribe of northern North America...when a hunter returned home w/o a deer and his wife asked 'where's the 'beef' (and hides)..the hunter would simply shrug and say, "deer chose not to die for us today." They simply believed the deer had a say in the outcome of the hunt also Wind in your face, move so slow you are an integral part of the forest, be happy!
