Gun expert

I inherited an 30 something caliber flintlock that got converted to a percussion cap. It’s a very old gun (pre civil-war?). Where can I take it to get it inspected? I think I’d like to try to take and shoot it, maybe even try to take a rabbit or squirrel with it next fall.

Dixon's Muzzleloading shop in Kempton or North East Trade Co. in Muncy. Knob Mountain Muzzleloading in Berwick would be another option.

Thanks for the info guys. I’m pretty close to Berwick and Dickson’s isn’t too much further. I’ll posts picture on the thread when I pick the gun up. It’s pretty cool it was converted from a flintlock to a percussion cap, so I’m assuming it’s pretty old. I’m not 100% sure what caliber it is but I know it’s .30-something. It’s got a rifled barrel. It is a long gun. I really hoping to hunt small game with it next season.
