moving on

well, on to the next build: Christians Springs/Edward Marshall rifle. 37" "D" weight, 54 cal. Colerain barrel, Davis lock, double set triggers, steel hardware and grade 4 maple stock. this will also have an extra "flip up" leaf on the sight for shooting out to a least 200 yards. it will be my "back up" rifle for future moose hunts and maybe elk some day. its going to be a summer project once I get the barrel installed and pinned, no hurry on this one. not sure what direction i'm going to go with it, plain like the .62 or some bling, time will tell

Nice.

I was hoping to get started on my .32 caliber squirrel rifle, but things just got in the way this year. I have a Rice straight octagon barrel, 42 inches long, a Davis double set trigger group, and a few other various parts. I'm hoping to purchase a stock soon. Hoping by this fall to be ready to start the build.

The original Edward Marshall rifle is on display in the Mercer museum in Doylestown, PA.
