New flint shotgun.

I received my new gun yesterday. I bought it from Tip Curtis.
It's styled from a Jacob Dubbs stock. Which is Allentown, Bethlehem area. It sports a 38 inch Colerain turkey choke barrel. Along with a Chambers large silver lock. Along with brass furniture. All mounted on a very nice maple stock, finished with boiled linseed oil. The metal is white, for now. I think I'm going to age the metal this summer.

The 2 most outstanding features to me are:
1st, the balance of the gun while carrying it.
1 hand placed 3 inches in front of the lock.
2nd, trigger pull. It's amazing, best I've fired.
I don't know how to explain the trigger.

I'll put up a few pics soon as I remember how.

The engraving is a bonus. I didn't know about it.
It also has a wedding band on the barrel.

It's gonna be handy the next 3 weeks.
I'm still hunting skwirls.
I don't have any turkeys to hunt on the farm I have permission on.
I bought it for skwirls.
I'm going to enjoy Saturday, that's for sure.

That's a fine looking piece. Let us know how you do Sat.

Listen, or your tongue will make you deaf.

"When a pine needle falls in the forest, the eagle sees it, the deer hears it, and the bear smells it."
an old First Nations saying
