keeping it dry

sat out in the rain from 3:00 to 5:15, pretty nasty. saw one at 100 yards on the other side of some red brush I was watching. if it would have continued on that trail it would have come out at about 70 yards. with the non stop rain and the fog coming off of the snow, I was glad it went another way and I didn't have to make the decision on taking a shot. the powder stayed dry though

Yup, that was me as well today. Got out around 3pm. It was nice for about an hour then the rain set in. I was sitting like you with the lock under my coat. I didn't see a deer. Powder was a little sticky when I dumped the pan. So I brought the rifle in for a wipe down, pulled the ball and cleaned her up for Sat. Hope its dryer Sat. morning. Good luck to a everybody these last two days.
