Anyone headed out today or tomorrow? Looks like they are going to be the coldest days of this winter so far. I plan to attempt some still hunting mid day. Hoping the weather doesn't force me back inside before I can connect.

I will be out there all day tomorrow. Hoping that the neighboring farm will be driving as they usually do in flintlock, but the cold may keep them at home. I will be setting up in some escape routes if there is radio chatter. If there is nobody there, I plan to still hunt most of the day.

I support all hunters, regardless of weapon or technique!

Going to do some SHORT sneaks around my property. If nothing else ill see where the current heavy use areas are and set myself or the better half up for some sits in those areas next week when it warms up a bit. Wish I could have some fellas over to put on a drive or 2 but the way my property is laid out and issues with the surrounding neighbor prohibit that.

Miss less than 50 yds from the house...shot low. Tried to shoot one out of the backyard, but she didn't want to move from behind the picnic table. Deer are all over the place today

Well the deer went much farther then expected. Tracked about 200yds to property line. Saw it laying about 50 yds over line. Contacted owner who thanked me for calling him and said he would come out with his ATV and give me a hand. When he arrived we Went down to deer and found it expired. I tagged it and field dressed it. Was aiming for high shoulder but hit was back a bit. Offered deer to neighbor since I know he likes venison but doesnt get out hunting much. He accepted it and we loaded me and deer up on his ATV and took it back to his place where I skinned and quartered it for him. I decided to take a walk back home through my woods am currently sitting under a pine In a hollow watching a well used trail that leads to my food plot.
