Day5, Dec30th

Good luck today. A few friends came up and were having some breakfast and gonna occupy the blinds this morning and evening. Looked out the window at 4:45 and 2 doe were banging the bird feeder to get the seeds to fall out right beside the front porch!

16 years and counting. Welcome to the life of a Buffalo Bills fan!

It was a great day in the woods. I missed a doe around 11 am. Rifle seemed like it took a while to fire, like the lock was slow or the touch hole was packed and fused. Don't know but I think I dropped the muzzle as it went off. Keep playing it over in my mind. Maybe I just flinched? I think I should have made that shot. Still had a good day. Going up to camp tomorrow, be home Monday morning and get the afternoon hunt in.

I missed a big doe at about 11 in the morning from about 15 yards. I walked up on her as she was coming through some brush and she totally made me. I managed to get my gun up just as she was about to bolt. No clue how I missed her. But hey, the gun went off on the first try. I will be back at it in the brutal cold on Monday.

I was out all day in the bitter cold. Deer were moving though. I ended up seeing 14 but could not get a shot on any of them.

I support all hunters, regardless of weapon or technique!

I missed out in the afternoon. I stayed in and watched the PSU game. I sure wish I would've gone out. I took a ride on my UTV and there were tracks everywhere. I will try to stay out most of the day tomorrow.

I'm planning to go out tomorrow about noon and set up my new groundblind on the field edge. I kinda wish it was snow camo though instead of regular camo - as I think the reg camo is gonna stick out a bit. May just try throwing a white sheet over it.... LOL

You can get a snow camo cover for some blinds dependin what style you have. The bed sheet would work too.
