12/28/17 - Day three

So, who braved the cold and went out? who's going out later today?

I'm stuck with responsibilities today, but lets hear how you did ...

I kill because I'm hunting, but killing is not the reason I go hunting.

Figures, the nicest day of the week(relatively speaking) and I have to sit here at work.

Remember, shoot straight and shoot often.
Good... Bad... I'm the guy with the gun.

Sat this one out (43rd wedding anniversary) plan on getting back out tomorrow afternoon. Did take time to shoot my flintlock at a target today in order to check my aim and to clean it after missing a buck on Tuesday.

Killed the target dead, buck must have been carrying a horseshoe

I was only able to be out for a couple hours this morning. Had one sneak in behind me about 8 at 30 yds. I tried to slowly get turned enough but as I raised the gun she knew something was wrong and trotted off. At 930 just as I was getting ready to leave, two ran by at 10 yds which totally caught me off guard. Not sure what spooked them as I was parked the way they came from and didn't see anybody else. Coyote?

Doesn't look like I'll be out tomorrow. Slight chance in the evening.
