It's starting to look more and more likely that we might have some snow on the ground for opening day, and beyond. Around here, they are only calling for a heavy dusting to an inch, even the most optimistic guys are only calling for 1.5 - 2" at the very most.
But, for these tired ol eyes, any snow on the ground is good news. I love being able to see deer halfway up the mountain working their way towards me and having twenty minutes to get ready.
On top of that, looks like a decent chance of significant snow later in the week. And best of all, the long term forecast is showing cold temps, sometimes very cold, for the length of the season....
Yup, just a bit excited..
I kill because I'm hunting, but killing is not the reason I go hunting.
