my lancster in .54.............

started build back in 04/05 not sure....it has a 42" .54 cal rice barrel in there golden age with D profile....chambers large siler lock, davis double set triggers, with iron furniture all bout....also has a grade 5 curly maple stock that I had the ram rod hole drilled and the barrel semi inletted.....enjoy the picture's ; ) ....

looking really, really good!!!! that will be a very nice rifle when you are done. I really like the wood on the end instead of brass or steel. can't wait to see it finished.

yeah me too, it has been in progress since oct 2004....next time it comes apart will be for staining and rust bluing then pinned back together....

Very nice looking. Interested to hear the details of your finishing process and see the results. Hopefully it doesn't take you another 10 years for that.


After making my first gun this year I don't think I'll ever put a nosecap on. Except, I saw a really cool looking poured pewter "cap". It was skeletonized with a rib down the bottom with perpendicular ribs up each side.

Remember, shoot straight and shoot often.
