Re: PA pellet flintlock ?

I have one, vg flinter. Shot a coyote with it went 5 yards. My friend liked it so much he got one. Mine likes 100 gr of 2f black powder 495 ball and .010 patch. His likes 90 gr 2f 490 ball and.015 patch. Last year they improved the frizzen so it is much harder than earlier years so you may need to change it.
Good luck, Stan

Re: PA pellet flintlock ?

They are a nice rifle for the money and give you the option of usin pellets which for a beginner is easier to use and you can even buy em at Wal-Mart.Dependen on the price you might want to shop around cause you may be able to buy a new one for the same money or close to it.Really inspect it well and don,t buy it unless you can inspect the bore with a drop bore lite.Good luck and keep us posted.

Re: PA pellet flintlock ?

The used one for sale didn't pan out [no pun intended] so we will have to wait until new stock arrives at the store.

Grandson is getting excited so we will have to take the Trade Rifle out and mess around with it.
