Round 1 at 50 yards. 530 RB and 015 patches lubed with bore butter, 80gr FF. I had come off a lot of hours on call and took her into the back yard. I learned that she likes to be rammed TIGHT.
Today the plan was 5 and we got them, the one out to the right was just after I learned to knap a flint She is a little to the right, POA was 6 oclock. I am going to run 30 or so through her before I decide on moving anything or moving out to the full range.
Every day you see it on the news. Another felons life needlessly spared by inaccurate fire.
Enjoy the range time ahead! It's when you and that beautiful long gun get to know each other. I appreciate your wanting to run several rounds down range before tweeking the sights, but I feel you could tap the rear sight left now a touch to bring the pattern more to the center and vertical. Everything now is hitting to the right, and that shouldn't be caused by roundball size, patch thickness, or powder charge. That's simply your rear sight asking to drift a bit left, no harm, no foul.
