New-to-me flintlock

Picked it up today....

With it's "big brother," my 62-caliber rifle....

Wanted to get to the range today, but kids, life, blah. Headed there tomorrow morning to start getting it sorted out. If it goes quickly, I may go harass the tree rats later in the day.

I've seen better.

Like a Mark Wheland Dickert rifle.....?

Thankfully, I managed to rescue my rifle before Matt could ram skittles down the bore. That would have been bad....

And we were looking at small horns today and I never stopped to think that I'd have need of one for the 36. D'oh!

Got to Dixon's when I got back....got patches, cleaning supplies, a starter, and some 3F. Off to the range tomorrow!

It's a schimmel. No side plate, no entry pipe, no nose cap, no buttplate.

Simple gun... "barn gun" some call them.
