need some blackpowder

I need to work up some loads for my 10 gage shotgun and was wondering where I can pick up a can of 1F black powder? I live in central PA, I've tried 2F and 3F thought maybe I could do alittle better with 1F since I'd drop the pressure some.

Re: need some blackpowder

You can call Chuck but he is going to talk you into using FFg.
I use 70grs of FFg in my old 11ga.Best way to figure is equal shot to powder.I even go a little heavier on the shot side.

This might help.Check the muzzy shotgun page.

Re: need some blackpowder

I've tried several powder and shot combinations using 2 and 3F granulations. I'm looking to reduce the pressure a little with a slower burn to get the shot moving to maybe hold a tighter pattern. I've also seen powder tables that recommended 1F powder as a powder for a 10 gage. I've been to Dixons several times. I was hopeing to find powder in 1F a little closer.

Phil Miller near Mill Hall also sells BP so he can maybe get you a can of 1f.
