Re: PA Pellet/Traditions ?????

I can use the pellets in my T/C Firestorm but not in my Lyman Deer Stalker. I think it has something to do with the breech and barrel.

I see said the Blind Carpenter to his Deaf Helper as he picked up his Hammer and Saw!

Re: PA Pellet/Traditions ?????

The powder is ignited from the rear through the breech plug which is supposed to make them be able to use pellets. I would still stick to real black powder in my opinion. The breech plug is removable on these rifles, the touch hole is not any bigger I don't believe.

I don't think the touch hole is any bigger. The breech plug is removeable. They shoot great with pellets.

Yes it,s the design of the breech plug that is removable that lets these rifles handle pellets.I shot twice yesterday and twice today with the pellets and it went right off.The only thing I noticed is my primer charge leaks into the barrel at times thru the touch hole.It never did that with loose BP.
