Not the cheapest but the absolute best!! Switched from Goex to Swiss about 5 years ago & will never go bak! Far cleaner burning, more consistant granulation plus can reduce charge about 10% vs Goex and achieve same fps/energy..
About $5-$6 more per pound. Dixons sell Swiss. Chuck told me once its almost like burning smokeless but still with the sweet bp smell!! I use 2f Swiss in my 54. 3fg Swiss is too hot. Considering the time, effort & other expenses we invest in our sport...whut the heck is a coupla bucks a pound!! Plus you can reduce a Swiss charge 10-15% compared to goex plus save a ton of cleaning patches & reduce clean-up time too boot!!
Clip from a review on Swiss:
Schuetzen powder is a very high quality powder. Swiss powder needs no introduction to serious muzzleloading match shooters. Seven out of the last eight international muzzleloading rifle shooting matches were won by Swiss powder teams. The top 10 international shooters use nothing but Swiss black powder. It's that good.
