Blued My L&R Lock Today

This was done with Art's Belgian Blue. I heat the parts in water, apply the chemical, heat again, card off with 0000 oil free steel wool, and repeat about six or eight times. I am pretty happy with it for a home bluing project. I have had some bluing projects go good and some not so good. Hardest part is always the polishing. This is on a TC Renegade.

Re: Blued My L&R Lock Today

Looks like it turned out well!!

I haven't done anything with mine...its going on the new rifle...all blued I guess I gotta figure it out lol...

I thought about browning everything but the green mountain barrel and tang are already blued...almost too much work to change it....

I wish I could get the barrel and tang to be a "rough" blue..not so smooth and polished..just to give it that "old" look...
