Hopefully most of it will be gone by sunrise. If not, I'll be using my lock cover.

Sitting in the stand now in 5B. Very heavy mist with water dripping from the trees. Brought the bow out instead of the smoke pole.

Re: Day 13 Flintlock Season

Good day out in Washington County -- no rain, just a little breeze, clear and sunny. Low 40's, so really comfortable but not too hot for deer movement.

Mature doe came trotting across the field I was watching around 8am. Gave me a nice quartering away shot; I got her to pause, and made a solid shot at 45 yds. Caught her in the far shoulder, though, so I'm guessing I lost some roast with that placement.

First muzzleloader season for me, but third or fourth time out. I'm pretty pumped to have gotten a deer with my flintlock!
