Re: Day 7 flintlock Season

I have been waiting for some snow but we didn't get any here in Meadville. Heading out this afternoon. I don't like to hunt deer without snow for some reason. I have been hunting a new area and I need to get some snow to see where the sign is leading.

I sure wish someone would take this headcold so I could hunt!

mossie, head north toward Erie, we have enough snow here in Waterford and surrounding area to make it worth your while.

Re: Day 7 flintlock Season

Had good intentions of going when I set the alarm, but getting burned out alittle.Hunted more this year and put on more miles in the woods than any other year.May go later.Seems deer movement where I was hunting is with-in last half hour of light and no set pattern of movement in these big woods.Hard to find a food source.

Missed a long shot earlier. It just walked away. Neighbors just shot close a few times but nothing came my way. In 1A

Re: Day 7 flintlock Season

I got out for the first time today this late season. I have had a cold for the past four days and have been working a lot. Had a doe sneak in behind me this morning at 7:15. Couldn't turn to get a shot without spooking her. Another doe came straight at me at 7:30. Couldn't get a shot on her either. Seen two buck , a spike and a 3pt. at 8:15ish both were together. Only could hunt until 11 cause I needed to go to work.

Be very very quiet!!
