Re: Day 1 flintlock season

Yep. Best of luck to those heading out. I am sitting today out. I could only hunt in the morning and woke up to sprinkles, wind, and warm temps. Will hit it hard on New Years if the weather cooperates.

I support all hunters, regardless of weapon or technique!

Re: Day 1 flintlock season

A friend and I made some little pushes to one another this afternoon. We had 14 deer up including a nice buck. No shots were fired.

I put out a total of five doe to a friend doing some small pushes this morning. He got a shot at one but didn't connect.

Re: Day 1 flintlock season

Saw two buck today. The only problem was they were spikes. One at 40 yards and the other at 30. Been seeing them since the beginning or Archery.

Re: Day 1 flintlock season

Had three doe inside 40 yards but moving faster than I liked for a shot in he thick cover they were in. Lots of time to hunt, no need to push the issue on an iffy shot.
