Get together for a paralyzed vet while on his hunt
We already have a thread up for our hunt for Sergeant Joe Jenkins, a combat wounded veteran from Lower Burrel PA. Joe was shot in the back in Iraq and is paralyzed from the chest down. As a complication to is wounds, Joe had a subsequent stroke this past May that also cost him the use of his right arm. He will be hunting with a crossbow on our place near Siloam Springs park in Brown County. This will be his first hunt since the loss of use of his arm too. The hunt will take place October 22-28 in Brown County Illinois.
If anyone here will be hunting the Brown/Pike/Morgan County areas of Illinois on October 28th we are having a get together in his honor on the 28th at 7:30 at a place called the Approach in the town of Meredosia.
Meredosia is along the Illinois River along Route 104. The Approach is on the North side of 104 just on the East side of the river right by the bridge. Good food and adult beverages are available. We have a romm good for 75 or so no reservation is needed and times are flexible any time after 7:30. The only thing we ask is that folks give us an idea if they're coming so we can make sure the Approach is ready for us.
If you're in the area, please stop by and thank Joe for his service!!!
