Anybody hunting bear in 4B?

Have a cabin in Perry, looking to see if anybody is hunting around there? Haven't had a chance to scout, and not sure where is a likely spot for bear to roam. Any help would be appreciated, or if there are any drives happening near there.

Re: Anybody hunting bear in 4B?

Yea I'll be up there Monday for the archery season on the mountain. That seems to be a good area if you can hunt the bottom. The top of the mountain doesn't seem to have any sign on it this year but the farmers below are complaining of bear damage in the corn fields.

Which mountain? Bowers mountain? By the ranger station? Or up north?

Looks like some nice areas around 850. We bear hunted last year by the ranger station, has one shot within a few hundred yards from us. Do they drive out that area?

They don't drive it hard but some of the local cabins in the area get together and do a few. We normally hear quit a few shots on the south side of that area every year but i know they shoot at coyotes too so the shots might be them too.
