Anyone think this is the way to go 100% I look at where most guys from our camp killed bears and none of them were on north facing slopes, give me some input!
Yes sun does, but out by cabin in bald eagle s.f. It almost always thicker on the north side, laurel that is. Points are great, ridge tips, any guts is a top, especially if it connects other structure.
We have killed 5 and missed 2 in the last 10 years at camp.
North side facing, 1 kill
East side facing, 1 Kill
South side facing 1 kill, 1 miss
West side facing, 1 kill
Top of mountain, 1 kill, 1 miss
Cover and food is the key, but all bears were within 200 yards of the top.
